On August 1, 2025, a grant agreement was made between Conservation International by its branch office in Liberia (CI or Executing Entity) and the Vainga Agriculture Development and Management Consultancy incorporated (Grantee). The funding in support of this Agreement is made available from the Global Environment Facility (GEF or Prime Donor) for the Coastal Resilience through Natural Capital Accounting (NCA) that comprises assorted vegetable production and mini cassava (Gari & Fufu) processing plant in four communities in Garwula and Tewor Districts in Grand Cape Mount Count. This project has since started in all four communities.

VADEMCO’s Natural Capital Accounting (NCA) Project is changing the way communities value their environment. By turning mangroves, wetlands, and farmland into recognized economic assets, the project stands to empower people to protect nature while building stronger livelihoods with the production of Cassava and vegetables. Considering the result gathered from rapid assessments, the focus is on climate-smart agriculture, which intends to help farmers grow resilient crops, adopt greener practices, and secure sustainable incomes for the future.

VADEMCO with the vast experience and well-trained staff have stepped forward to help households build stronger livelihood by integrating ecosystems into economic planning and recognized assets for generations to come.
The results speak for themselves: improved food security, restored ecosystems, and communities making smarter, data-driven choices. With VADEMCO, nature and people thrive together. This isn’t just conservation—it’s a movement unlocking the true value of natural capital for lasting growth and impact.
Join us in building a sustainable future where people and nature flourish side by side.
