Vainga Agriculture Development and Management Consultancy Incorporated (VADEMCO, Inc.) is an agricultural entity established to cater to the needs of smallholder farmers with the aim of transforming smallholder subsistence farming into smallholder commercial farming enterprise in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner. VADEMCO is 100% Liberian owned and registered under the Business Act of the Republic of Liberia. VADEMCO provides training in Good Agriculture Practices including basic agriculture business skills and links farmers to profitable markets. VADEMCO is one of the implementing partners of Solidaridad West Africa- Liberia Programme (SWAL) and will implementing Cocoa Value Chain Program (COVADEP) under auspices of Centre for Cocoa Development (CCD) in Grand Gedeh County.

CCD Coordinator (1)

The CCD Coordinator will have the oversight responsibility of the VADEMCO field offices in South Eastern Region of Liberia. He/She would coordinate and provide technical backstop, guidance and training support to Tree Crop mainly cocoa to project beneficiaries; Must have Bachelor degree in Agriculture, preferable Master of Science in Agronomy with a minimum of 5 years of relevant discipline experience with reputable Private institute and NGO; have experience in conducting Tree Crop Farmer Field School (FFS) not less than 3 years practical experience. Proficient in the use of Microsoft office-word, excel, power point and Good verbal and written communication skills.

Office/Administrative Assistant (1)

He/She will provide support to the office of the CCD Coordinator and field offices of the VADEMCO including procurement, personnel, public relations and commodity accounting as well as tracking all incoming and outgoing communication and commodity data. The applicant must have minimum of five consecutive years of working experience with reputable entity. Must have Associate degree/diplomat in business including Bookkeeping and accountancy with a minimum of 3 years of relevant administrative experience with reputable Private institute and NGO; Proficient in the use of Microsoft office-word, excel, power point and Good verbal and written communication skills. Female candidates are preferable.

Cocoa Extension Technician (Agriculture)

He/She provides Extension services and technical Assistance (TA), training and mentoring to smallholder cocoa and other livelihoods farmers in Grand Gedeh and other VADEMCO operational areas in Southeastern, and collaborates with other stakeholders on the project for timely service delivery. Provide technical assistance to smallholder farmers through GAP including planning, rehabilitation, farm management, nursery establishment and care, transplanting, harvest and post-harvest handle, quality control and commodity data collection and reporting. Candidate must have Bachelor of Science degree or associate degree from a reputable institution with 3 years relevant work experience in the tree crop subsector of agriculture mainly in cocoa with strong training skills in Farmer Field School (FFS).

Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

He /she will be responsible for collection of relevant project data in the timely manner and accurate while   ensuring that the project goal and objectives are achieved. Demarcate all beneficiaries of the project farms and produce farm-map for these farms. Support CCD coordinator in the timely implication of the project.

Commodity (mainly cocoa) Trading Coordinator

He/she will be responsible for commodity (cocoa/coffee) handling and management at the VADEMCO’s beneficiary warehouses/storage facilitates and provides quality grading upon receipt of the commodity at the warehouse and after processing (drying, sorting, weighing, bagging, etc) using International Grading Standards. He/she provides logistical support, commodity tracking, commodity movement and accounting.; Ensure commodity fast tracking information system and efficient information sharing including commodity at each and various warehouses, price, commodity movement, etc. An Associate degree or its equivalent in agriculture or related field and B.SC degree is an added advantage in agriculture and statistics with a minimum of 5 years with reputable institution that deals with commodity handling, grading and inspection mainly cocoa or other food commodity. Ability to use efficiently Excel, power point and strong data entry skills.
